Mark G. Haley and Raman (R.P.) Rama; Honored at HITEC Dallas Next Month

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) are pleased to announce two champions of hospitality: Mark G. Haley, CHTP+ and Raman (RP) Rama, B.Com, CHA Emeritus, CHTP+, CHE as the 2021 HFTP inductees into the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame, each show their expertise in selling hospitality innovation and information and data sharing and accepted for management.

Haley is co-founder and associate at Prism Hospitality Consulting, LLC. Rama is the President and CTO/CIO at Sarona Resorts, Investments and Premier Administration Providers. Each can be honored at the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) on September 28, 2021 in Dallas, Texas USA.

The Worldwide Hospitality Technology Corridor of Fame is HFTP’s highest recognition in technology. Since 1989, 49 people have received the award as a reflective image of their contribution to the hospitality business.

Born in Malawi, Rama immigrated to India at the age of 10, where he did his schooling, and later moved to the USA in 1981 where he started his business in hospitality. Working in a variety of positions, Ram explored his area of ​​interest in finance and information.

In his profession, Rama was considered one of the 5 house owners of JHM Resorts, which operated 36 resorts representing manufacturers such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Wyndham and Alternative Resorts in the United States and India. At JHM Resorts he served as CTO/CIO of Corporate. The five homeowners also started Auro College in Gujarat, India.

Throughout his career, Rama constantly sought information and explored options to help him operate his resorts. This includes upgrading laptop technologies, implementing new accounting software programs, and developing customized software programs that output administration stories for information comparability across the corporate’s resorts.

Now as President and CTO/CIO at Sarona Resorts, Investments and Premier Administration Providers, he has invested in 24 resorts, some hospitality-focused tech companies as well as a wide range of start-ups.

Rama has been closely associated with the industry, serving as HFTP World President from 2012-2013. He was also awarded the HFTP Paragon Award in 2016. Also, Rama is a regular speaker at trade events, most recently at HITEC Dubai in May 2021.

Along with Rama, Mark Haley may also become a member of the famous group Corridor of Fame.
