Billy Marcus is the biggest for crypto from a technical standpoint; He founded Dogecoin in 2013 with Jackson Palmer.
Palmer stepped back from crypto years later and nowadays has no affiliation with crypto in any nature.
Marcus is very attentive to the wishes of Dogecoin users, interacting with them frequently on his Twitter account and providing development updates frequently.
He also talks frequently about his thoughts on taking the series forward, including this week’s NFT discussion.
Marcus tweeted his latest ideas for growing the series, providing two big offers on Wednesday.
One of these proposals is to connect the Dogecoin ecosystem to Ethereum (CCC: ETH-USD), one of the largest blockchain networks in the world.
With this upgrade Dogecoin data cannot be easily transferred to the Ethereum chain; It will also allow the creation of DOGE-ETH token pairings.
This brings us to the gossip about NFTs coming to Dogecoin; Marcus argues that with the DOGE-ETH token in NFT markets such as OpenSea, the usefulness of Dogecoin will increase drastically.
Much of the criticism surrounding Dogecoin lies in its lack of concrete usefulness, and the proposal will certainly quell most of the criticism.
